Philippe Jordan will conduct the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra from 11-15 January and, together with the orchestra, he will present a programme dedicated to the sea that is coherent in terms of content and, in particular, sound. The programme opens with Mendelssohn’s overture “Meeresstille und glückliche Fahrt”. Nicole Car will join in Chausson’s Poème de l’amour et de la mer. After the interval, the programme includes the Four Interludes from Britten’s opera “Peter Grimes” and Debussy’s La mer.
